Dave Martin
Dave Martin is Naperville through and through. He has spent most of his life living, working, contributing and raising a family here. As a college student, Dave worked for Russell Cleaners, which inspired his life’s work. Dave’s years at Russell’s Cleaners taught him lessons he could never learn in the classroom. He learned, hands on, the cleaning industry. He learned which were the best fabrics and materials and how to best take care of them. Perhaps more importantly, however, he learned how to take care of his customers. In 1978, Dave bought the carpet cleaning side of Russell’s. In 1984, he added carpet sales to the business. Dave was determined to take his business a step above ordinary carpet stores by offering high-end carpets installed by trained employees. Today, Dave and Rae have built the company into a premier Naperville carpet store, competing with some of the biggest names in carpeting. 

Rae Martin
Rae enjoys the connection between interior design and psychology. A comment we hear from her frequently is “if a client's home looks like me, I have failed, a clients home should look like them……on a good day." The part of the day she likes the most is getting to know the Russell Martin customers, which frequently involves conversational tangents and raucous laughter sweeping through the showroom. To Rae, conversation about carpet and rugs is secondary to finding out what people think about music, restaurant favorites and where they have been vacationing. Frankly, we’re not at all sure how she manages to sell so much carpet, but she does with gusto. Working with color, texture and how they influence a space is one of her fortes, probably due to her background as both a clay artist and painter. 

Kate Moeller
Kate works in the showroom, as well as behind the scenes of Russell Martin handling our marketing and accounting. Like Sam, she grew up learning about carpet and rugs. Before joining Russell Martin, Kate worked as a television producer in Iowa and Florida and decided to come back to Naperville ten years ago to work with the family. Kate is a certified carpet cleaner and VAST Customer Service Specialist. When not working in our showroom, Kate can be found at home with her husband and two young sons.

Sam Martin
Having grown up in the family it was only natural for Sam to become a part of Russell Martin. Sam started working for the business 17 years ago and in that time has become a certified master cleaner as well as a certified technician in fire and water restoration, odor control and upholstery cleaning all through IICRC. Sam is also a master carpet installer and repairman. Here at Russell Martin, he can most often be found working on our custom rugs and stair cases as well as managing our cleaning and installation technicians.
